I took this picture last week, after discovering that one of our twin sheds relocated itself. The wood floor is still there, along with the wagons, toys, and tools that are piled for storage. But the shed's metal walls, doors, and roof are all crumpled up in the distance. Yikes!
We're not too surprised that the shed blew away. Apparently there used to be four sheds, before we moved here. The remaining shed is a lot more sturdy because of built-in shelves and it's location, but we'll see if nature will leave it alone. I actually think our yard looks better with just one shed, so I'm mostly just disappointed that I didn't see it happen!
I know there are areas in the world with much more dramatic weather than this. This is an unusually windy year for where we live though. Tonight we're having a blizzard that reminds me of what I read in Little House on the Prairie. But I'm so grateful for a warm house and electricity (and no cow to milk!). Good luck to everyone else in scary weather!
