Our Little Pumpkins

I decided I should add more Halloween pictures now that I have time. Each of the kids drew their own jack-o-lantern face and helped scoop out the guts. I think this kind of family activity gets more fun every year. We also grew all of our own pumpkins, including one that was too big for me to carry. 100 pounds? Maybe not, but I don't know because I couldn't lift it. I rolled it into the wheelbarrow and maneuvered it onto the porch. It remains there - now as a Thanksgiving decoration. Maybe Christmas and Valentine's Day too?

Jonathan has known for months that he would be a policeman. While trick-or-treating, the real sheriff talked to us and let Jonathan look in the truck. He even turned on the lights for us. I'm sure passers-by thought we had gotten pulled over. For impersonating an officer?

This is a repeat from last year but Zach was determined to be Buzz again and it fits even better now. To Halloween and beyond!

Ask Nicole what she is for Halloween and she says, "I'm a princess!" After lots of giggles from her brothers, toward the end of the day she started saying mouse. It's Remy from Ratatouille. I wish you could see her rat thighs jiggle when she walks.
Greg was a cute little knight. He's just learning to sit and he had fun tugging on his hat. Surprisingly he did keep the hat on the whole evening. His chivalrous nature earned him the attention of a lot of young princesses.

We went to Trunk or Treat first. There were a lot of amazing costumes and it's fun to see all the community there. The kids like the candy.

We also took the kids to some houses for "real" trick-or-treating. This picture brings back a lot of memories for me! These are the same streets I patrolled as a kid. Now I just drive along with the crew, eating their candy and taking pictures. It was a happy Halloween.

Your kids look great! It looks like a fun day. How fun that you get to take your kids to the same places you visited as a kid.

P.S. You look so beautiful.
