Valentine's Day. I'm a little late but didn't want to skip it completely. I decorated this little craft tree. I've been wanting to make one for awhile, and the plan is to decorate it for each holiday throughout the year. I'm one for one so far. Whew. Happy Valentine's Day!
The boys each decorated their own valentine box to take to school. Zach glued on the alligator and decorated his box with stickers. At school his friends got to put their valentines into the alligator's mouth. The box was practically full of candy when he got home! Valentines have come a long way since my days.
Jonathan made his valentine box into an iPod, complete with enormous ear buds and a playlist of love songs. When he got home he was really happy because his friends all thought his box was really cool. Both boys gave valentines to everyone in their classes and received the same. I suspect that they also ate a lot of sugar at their class parties. A lot of sugar.
Here's my little Valentine. He says he loves his mommy.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my kids treating each other kindly. (The opposite is also true.) At our house we like to show love through lots of hugs.
And sometimes kisses too.

My favorite way to show love is through service!
And if all else fails, food is a sure way to share love! Ben brought home heart-shaped pizzas for our little family party. And candy bars for each of us, yum.
Earlier I helped the kids make valentines for each other. As we handed them out that night, we told each person something we love about them. That will have to become a tradition every year. Their comments were really funny.
Of course my true Valentine is Ben. I'm so thankful that I get to share everything with him. My life, my time, our home, our kids, everything. He treats me like a queen and I feel so blessed. Love is good.
