Fifth and Final Day of Disneyland!

It's a Small World After All!  I love this ride. I hadn't been on it since I was three but I remembered it. (When Ben and I came two years ago it was closed.)  Lots of little singing people. Happy people. It's a long ride (just ask Ben) but I wish it were longer!

Greg agrees.  He LOVED this ride.  When we were walking by it the last day, he was reaching and fighting to get out of the stroller. He almost tipped it over.  I asked if he wanted to go on the ride. He bounced up and down, clapping his hands. I think that was to say, "Yes, please."

There are a few new additions to it, like Woody and Jesse. Lilo and Stitch. Ben thinks he even spotted Michael Jackson. (Maybe you'll see him next time, now that you know to look for him.)

Yes! We finally tracked down Minnie. She was super cute in her Halloween costume. While we waited in line to see Minnie, Ben took the boys over to California Adventure to start on a big ride. We would catch up soon.

Except that Ben had our park passes.  We left one park and couldn't get into the other, so we were stuck between the two. Oops. At least Greg and Nicole had fun playing on the letters while I tried to call Ben. I kept getting a message that his number had been disconnected!

I convinced the entrance lady to let us back into Disneyland with our faded handstamps. So we were able to see Goofy while we waited. He had the coolest costume.

And Pluto! He had the best hug. Finally we got ahold of Ben and met up with them. We were VERY happy to not be stranded anymore. Whew.

The boys had just been on the river ride with Ben (which apparently has no cell phone coverage) but they were ready to go again with me.  Of course I got soaked.

Here's proof that I went on California Screamin', the huge rollercoaster. We rode it a couple times each. This time I knew where the camera was so I could stop screaming long enough to smile. I wanted to show Jonathan that I wasn't scared - and then I resumed screaming. I thought we could convince him to go on it but he never did. It's the only ride he didn't go on. Maybe next time?

Do I really need to comment on this?

Yes, that is a hug.  Awww. Boys love their cars.

We have a Halloween movie where Donald is always trying to find the right Halloween costume. It looks like he finally found the right one!

When there was only time for one more ride, everyone agreed what we wanted to go on. The Buzz Lightyear ride! We each had a laser blaster to get bad guys and score points.

Jonathan got to ride by himself.

We defeated Zurg! Ben might have scored a few more points than I did.  You think? Greg was "helping" me.  And Zach figured out how to spin our car in circles.  Wow.

And then we took Greg on the Tower of Terror.

No, we didn't really. This was one of his "silly faces" that kept him busy while we waited for the night parade to start. After the parade we headed to the store for souvenirs that the kids had been eyeing all week.

This ends our Disneyland vacation!  We had a WONDERFUL time. "That was the best five days ever!"

But we weren't home yet.  On Friday morning we left Anaheim and drove to St.George for the marathon.

This looks a lot like the Disneyland crew but now it's the marathon crew! It was a HOT day so we were nervously waiting to see how Daddy and Grandma were doing in their race. I'll post more about the race when I get some official pictures and stats back, but here's a little for now:

They made it! Ben came in a few minutes faster than last year. Great job!

And my mom survived!  She was sick before she started and it was a record hot day so we were really worried about her. But she pushed through and finished!  More to come later.

And yes, we made it home that night. Whew.

Greg now has a new best friend - Baby Woody.  I still chuckle every time I see it.

The kids talk about Disneyland every day and I'm sure they'll hold on to their memories for a loooong time. Thanks for letting us share our adventures with you!

Okay first of all...how FUN! I loved all the pictures. We have been wanting to take the kids (I have never been either) but keep thinking we will wait until they are a little older. I think my Greg will be happy to hear you survived with your Greg as small as he is.
Second...I cannot believe Ben ran St. George after almost a week at Disneyland! That is awesome! Congratulations to him and your mom...they are my heroes!

Looks like oodles of fun! We're going to try and go in the spring, but now I'm thinking halloween time looks like more fun. Do you think the kids can wait another year??
