I sure have been getting a lot done around the house lately. I keep writing all kinds of crazy projects on my to-do list and then I actually DO them! My sister pointed out that it's about time for me to start nesting. Oh yeah! Baby time is drawing near and I must have had the cleaning/preparing instinct kick in. I'm not sure what my closets, scrapbooks, or computer files have to do with preparing for a baby, but while I'm feeling motivated I'm going to keep going and not ask questions!
The baby has been getting a little attention though. I just finished his quilt. Ben picked out the fabric patterns (really, he did, long story) and so I give him credit for how much I love how it turned out. The kids helped me stuff the pillow too. The nursery is mostly ready - except all the pink stuff that needs cleaned out of the closet - and Ben has brought home some FUN outfits for the baby. I think we're ready.
Diapers, check. Baby lotion, check. Binkies, check.
Name? Uh....
Our poor baby needs a name!
I'm setting up a baby name poll in the right column. Help! Our main problem is that our six favorite names have already been stolen by our other boys. (Jeffrey Connor, Jonathan Christian, Zachary Thomas.) Then I don't like Ben's favorites and he doesn't like my mine. Fine, so we moved on to a list of almost-kinda-favorites. They're in a random order on the poll. Feel free to vote for as many as you like. If you have any strong opinions about a particular name, please leave a comment. Or two. Or even make a new suggestion that's not on the list.
I can't guarantee that we'll go with the popular vote but feedback won't hurt, right? Keep in mind that our last name is Nelson and we want this kiddo to fit in with the others. A final note - we both like traditional names that aren't overly trendy right now. I actually took one of my favorites off the list because it was in the top ten last year! Please vote - our baby needs a name and I'm busy scrubbing out the laundry room cupboards.

it is so unfortunate that i didn't nest with olivia....sounds like you are getting a lot done! olivia is eight months old and i still have a list of "nesting" things i wanted to get done!

Personally I'm partial to "Seth" and "Daniel", but also think "Harriman" would make a cool first name. (Talmage's middle). We're looking at being pregnant again soon and I'm struggling with names for both genders!

The quilt is adorable. i love the nesting period...I think I need one right now even though I'm not prego. I voted for Emmet i really like that name. Emmet Nelson sounds like a rock star!

ok! you asked for it....i like David Gregory Nelson, Christopher Gregory Nelson, Christopher David Nelson, and David Christopher Mark Nelson. I also highly like the name CHRISTOPHER DANIEL NELSON....but about that baby blanket...talk about deja vu....it looks just like Ben's old baby blanket!!!!! i should know...i made it myself. I love those days of feeling like you really are accomplishing things....I'm trying to get into that list mode again so I can feel that more often!
I understand the nesting/organizing bit. Barry got pretty tired of me rearranging furniture before Clara arrived. That's partly because our house is so small. I like your quilt! I don't know how you get all that done with 3 kids running around. Good luck with the name, I think boy names are harder than girls'.

You are having another boy, how exciting. I am also going through the whole naming my baby nightmare. I like alot of names but I have not yet found anything I love. I love your quilt you made!
How about Nelson Nelson? Then, you can nickname him "Little Echo."
