I left the room for less than a minute and Nicole decided it was time to run for it! Her blanket was empty when I came around the corner and I panicked but found her smiling at me, as proud as can be. It's good that she didn't go the other direction to the stairs!
Nicole doesn't crawl yet, so how did she get over there? Well ever since this happened a few days ago, she has mastered the roll. She gets from place to place using carefully executed rolls, until she ends up where she wants to be.
I guess there's no need for her to crawl if she can get around just fine this way. She doesn't seem to mind the hard floor (thunk, roll, thunk, roll, thunk) but I'm trying to keep her on the carpeted areas just to be safe. Her brothers like to laugh and point as she arrives at her new location across the room: "Look what Nicole just did!" I'm sure this phase will pass much too quickly for this sentimental mom.

It takes some pretty smart little brains to figure that all out. Go baby Go...just don't not towards the stairs ;-).

Why do you have a big pink frosted rectangle cake on the floor? oops, with our glasses on we see it is a cute baby blanket near an even cuter escaping baby. love the updates of your little squirrels. so glad that there are naptimes for mommy now and then, too! Thank you!
