Surprise!

Mother's Day was great. Ben took the kids shopping to pick out their own presents for me. Here's what I got from each:

Jonathan - Hot Wheels car and Sugar Daddy (bought with his own money)

Zachary - Bag of jumbo marshmallows (so that's why he wanted marshmallows for dinner on Saturday night)

Nicole - Black cherry sparkling water

Jeffrey - Big can of Pringles

Ben - A homemade steak dinner. AND, combined with our Anniversary...

We're going to Disneyland!!!

Just Ben and I are going! It was a surprise to me and we're leaving in a week. I've been on cloud nine, no TEN, ever since I found out. Woohoo!

I can't get this song out of my head.

(ps- I ran a 5k on Saturday and I was all excited to post about it, until this news came up. Disneyland is way more exciting than jogging!)

I had no clue what song you were referring to at all. I guess I was finished reading your post before it even loaded. FINALLY, after 3 visits to your blog!

Anyway... Disneyland without the kids?!? What kind of sadistic parents are you?? You aren't telling the kids where you are going, are you? That would be several shades of mean!

Oh- so are you guys driving there or are you just hitching onto the back of Mr. SuperDiapers?

Yeah, if Maddie ever found out we were going without her, she would probably shrivel up and die on the floor and never speak to us again. That will be fun for you guys though!

Mr. SuperDiapers took care of all the details. Since we have to be to Salt Lake early that morning, I'm assuming we're catching a flight.

Have I ever mentioned I hate flying? No really, I hate it. So if I die, you know that's why I've always been paranoid. =o) One of those irony things. But in case you're wondering, yes this trip is worth the flight to me.

WHY doesn't anybody know this song? I've known it for years, I think it was a punk song in the 90's. I thought it was a commonly heard song. Maybe that's why Ben looks at me funny when I sing it - Does he think I'm making it up?

OH, another thing, our kids don't know that Disneyland exists. And they won't for a few more years. RIGHT? They're THRILLED to be staying at Grandma's house for a few days.

The only touch of guilt I had was last night, watching the intro video (without the kids) and it showed Woody and Buzz in costume. The boys would go crazy over that. But hey, that part is closed for construction while we're there. The teacups too but I think we'll survive.

To redeem us as parents, Ben IS staying home from the Jazz playoff game on Friday night, to take Jonathan fishing at their Fathers & Sons outing. Awwww.

Kristen, OF COURSE I have heard the Disneyland song!! Who are these people? Just kidding, it was kindof an obscure not very popular song, but you know me being the music guru that I am, knows it. haha Ok, I am a dork.

Kristine, I have tagged you. The rules are on my blog under the post "Tagged by an Angel."

Don't blame me, blame Adhis

I've heard the song before, I just didn't know there was *A* song playing at all on your blog. "She can't get WHAT song out of her head?"

BTW, didn't know if you knew there's a naughty word on it. ... My ears! My pristine eeeeears!!!

Ssshhhh.... Adhis!!! I was hoping nobody would notice. Thanks for drawing attention to it. I actually spent a lot of time looking for an edited version, but yeah right who was I kidding? Please forgive me. I was hoping nobody would be listening long enough to get to that part. BLEEP!

Reminds me of something funny that happened in high school. I won't go into it here, but I should've learned my lesson by now. =o)

I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!

Heather, thank you, that does make me feel better! You even remember Bush, eh.
